Now, as the co-founder of Transform Differently, a people-first transformation consultancy operating across the UK and South Africa, Craig is on a mission: to help organisations “make the impossible possible” by putting their people at the heart of everything.
“Too many businesses overcomplicate change,” Craig says. “They add layers, consultants, and processes that slow things down. That doesn’t work. Real transformation happens when leaders remove barriers, give people ownership, and focus on results that matter.”
Building Bridges Between Continents
While headquartered in London, Transform Differently proudly operates in South Africa too, with plans to expand to the rest of Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Americas. “Having grown up in South Africa, I have a deep-seated desire to contribute to Africa’s development,” Craig says. “Africa is a continent of immense potential and untapped talent. By investing in people’s growth, we believe we can unleash a ripple effect of transformation.”
Craig dreams of partnering with fellow Saffas across the globe: “It would be a dream come true to collaborate with like-minded South Africans delivering impact from London to Lagos to Laos to Lima.”
Shaped by Change, Driven by Purpose
Craig’s passion for people-centred transformation started early. “My journey began when I was eight,” he reflects. “My parents divorced, and I realised then that change—though painful—can lead to something positive.” That lesson echoed throughout his life: from seeing his dreams as a young tennis player upended, to redirecting that energy into rugby and discovering resilience through sport. Later, witnessing the rebirth of a democratic South Africa shaped his worldview deeply. “Living through the release of Nelson Mandela opened my eyes to the power of diversity and the potential for connection beyond boundaries.”
After building a successful career spanning banking, fintech, utilities, media, and legal sectors, Craig had an epiphany in 2023. “I quit my job after one coaching session that reignited a fire inside me. It was time to stop existing and start transforming.” That bold step launched Transform Differently, an organisation rooted in what he calls the three Cs: Coaching, Consulting, and Creativity.
